Side or front opening bathtubs have side or front entry/exit panels that provide residents with easier access to the tub. Many of these systems also offer a host of other features that make bathing tasks safer and more efficient. Examples of these features include whirlpool/hydrotherapy, integrated disinfecting systems, electronic water temperature control, automated prefill, and handheld showers. Some manufacturers offer lift systems designed specifically for these bath systems, making resident transfers in to the tub easier and safer for both resident and caregiver.
